About this Property
HISTORY
The New York Palace possesses a prestigious heritage. More than a century ago, Henry Villard, one of the nation's most prominent financiers, commissioned McKim, Mead & White to create a residence of singular style. Constructed in 1882, that residence became known as The Villard Houses. Over the next century, the residence would change from private homes to offices for the Archdiocese and later, corporate offices for internationally known companies.

In the mid-1970s, the Archdiocese of New York, owners of the land, cleared the way for a hotel development that would incorporate this unique property, gracefully blending the landmark 1882 Villard Houses with a contemporary 55-story tower. The hotel opened in 1980 as The Helmsley Palace.

The New York Palace recently completed an all-encompassing $140-million renovation project that transformed a landmark architectural gem into the premier modern hotel in Midtown Manhattan. The 18-month renovation project rethought, upgraded, and perfected every aspect of your experience at this legendary destination - upscale accommodations, distinctive dining destinations and extraordinary event spaces all received intuitive updates. Through this perfect blend of past and present, the legacy of this historic New York City hotel continues, providing residents and guests with a distinctive experience at a truly iconic New York City hotel.

THE CHAMPAGNE APARTMENT
Experience the spirit of luxury, inspired by the world's most indulgent pleasure.

The extravagant Champagne Suite was inspired by the exquisite taste of luxury champagne, such as Dom Perignon, sprawling 5,000 square feet over three floors of breathtaking vistas and spectacular dcor. Carefully curated art and elements of contemporary opulence capture the varied richness of Manhattan life against a backdrop of warm blacks and bronze tones, creating an optimal atmosphere for relaxation and revelry.

The residents are welcomed by a Nouveau Nero polished marble foyer, balanced by the rustic feel of Italian stone textured walls. Two-story views of iconic Midtown Manhattan structures envelop a gracious grand parlor, adorned with a 29-foot-wide mural by French artists Alex et Marine. A shimmering crystal pendant chandelier cascades from the vaulted ceiling, resembling the rush of bubbles to the brim of a champagne flute. Rustic elements recur in the 10-seat formal dining room, where hewn woods balance polished finishes. A fully stocked wine cave adds an element of authenticity to the Champagne Suite.
There is also a full kitchen and powder room on this floor.

A winding marble staircase leads to second-floor respites, including a master bedroom suite with a Chardonnay color story and a double queen guest room swathed in shades of rich Pinot Noir and glistening ros, each with its own impressive bath. Doubling as a tasting room, the library provides a comfortable sitting area for sipping and socializing. The third floor, reached by private in-suite elevator, features a Great Room with a WBF, powder room, pantry and sweeping rooftop terrace with a custom-designed waterfall spa-an ideal setting for a city soire.

This apartment can be offered as a two or three bedroom apartment with 5,000 sq.ft. interior (464m2) + approximately 1,000 sq.ft. terrace (92.9m2)
